Applying to art and design courses – your portfolio

Part of the art and design application process is viewing a portfolio of your work. This will allow us to see your abilities and suitability for our courses. A portfolio can take many forms but it should primarily demonstrate your ability create and develop ideas as well as your technical ability to draw through observation and interpretation.

Future Health

to celebrate Coventry as European City of Sport, the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences will launch a new physical activity and wellness service called Coventry University Future Health. Located in the state of the art Alison Gingell building, Coventry University Future Health will house a Sports Injury and Performance Centre and will offer a range of services for students, staff, local residents and sports clubs.

Extended Masters with Professional Experience

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences has developed a suite of courses which aim to enable you to combine a Master’s degree with relevant professional experience. All students enrolled on these courses undertake 6-8 months of professional experience, either externally or on campus.


HealthPro Project

The HealthPro project is an Office for Students funded initiative, in partnership with Coventry University and NHS Trusts to encourage more males into healthcare professions, bridge the gender gap and remove stereotypes around roles in healthcare.

Facilities

The faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing boasts modern, multifunctional teaching and research buildings that support hands-on learning. Laboratories and workshops are equipped to commercial and industrial standards and are available to students both in and out of class time. Opening in autumn 2020, the new Beatrice Shilling building will be the third building to be used by the faculty. .

Andrew Preshous

Assistant Professor in Academic English| andrew.preshous@coventry.ac.uk Andrew has taught English in a variety of contexts in Greece, Poland, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the UK. This experience includes developing and delivering specialist ESP and EAP courses such as English Pronunciation for Malaysian newsreaders, English for the Hotel Industry and Advanced English for Global Business.
